Bringing in the Big Dawgs!
Every group that Kindness Ranch rescues is slightly different in stature and demeanor and that couldn’t be more apparent than it is at this moment.
The 22 that arrived here on March 25th are big! But don’t let that fool you. With names like Dawg, Bruiser, Fang and Bolt they are lovebugs who want nothing more than hugs. Rex clocks in at a whopping 35 pounds. One might say he’s a little clingy, but his caretakers are not particularly concerned or alarmed. Training a clingy dog to refrain from excessive hugging may be easier than training a shy dog to come out of its shell, and let’s face it, we love our Velcro dogs. They allow us to feel loved and needed, and Rex and his crew are experts at just that.
In contrast, the girls from China arriving over a 6-month span from July of 2025 to January of this year, are very little. Faith, John and Katy’s new girl, weighs in at just 11 pounds, with the confidence of a, well, big dog. Faith and most of her cohort have been adopted, but a few remain at the ranch, still waiting for their forever homes.

So, whether you are looking for small, big, clingy, independent, tenacious, hesitant, curious, content or exploratory in your beagle rescue, they are all here right now: Each one beautiful, incredible, loving and trusting and sure to fill your home with purpose and joy.
