Tala and Sunbul: A Home Together
Two bonded sisters looking for their forever family.
Spend a little time with Tala and Sunbul and you will begin to notice the family resemblance. It is in their faces, their mannerisms, and the way they both roll onto their backs when a belly rub becomes a possibility. These two sisters have been winning hearts at Kindness Ranch since March 2024. Now, we are hoping to introduce them to the people who will finally take them home.
Tala and Sunbul came to us from the West Bank through a rescue effort coordinated with SPCA International and their caregivers at Daily Hugz. They arrived far from the place and people they had known, facing an unfamiliar world together.
They were thin and needed care. Tala had healing sores around her hips and leg, and both girls needed time to settle into their new surroundings. Our team gave them veterinary attention, steady meals, and the chance to get comfortable at their own pace. Little by little, their personalities came through. There was playfulness. There was curiosity. And there was an extraordinary amount of affection waiting for someone to sit down and receive it.
Meet Tala
Tala is the more reserved sister at first. She may take a little time to get to know you, and we want her to have that time. Trust means something to her.
Once she feels comfortable, you get to meet the affectionate, playful dog her caregivers know so well. Her original caregiver described her as becoming “super friendly” once she trusts someone, with a particular love for belly rubs. That same sweetness has followed her to Wyoming.
There is something especially moving about earning Tala’s confidence and watching her relax enough to ask for affection. The relationship grows through ordinary moments: sitting together, a gentle touch, another visit, and the discovery that this person can be counted on.
Note: Tala is athletic and clever. She can jump a fence around five feet tall, so a carefully secured yard is an essential part of her future home. Her family will need to take that ability seriously, especially while she is getting used to a new place.
Meet Sunbul
Sunbul is more outgoing about wanting your attention. Her caregivers knew that about her before she ever arrived at Kindness Ranch, and our team has had plenty of opportunities to appreciate it since.
She loves being close to people. Staff have described the sisters sitting beside them and pressing their faces against theirs, turning a quiet moment into a very personal request for more affection. Sunbul is quite happy to make her interest in you known.
She also has a playful side. Early updates describe her enjoying time with Tala and other dogs, including Meezan and Sukar. She has shown us how much she enjoys both companionship and the simple pleasure of having someone to play with.
Sunbul’s warmth makes it easy to picture the everyday life we want for her: a walk with her family, time outside with her sister, and a comfortable place to settle near the people she loves.
Two Sisters, One Home
Tala and Sunbul are a bonded pair and need to be adopted together. They have shared their lives since puppyhood. Through an international rescue, unfamiliar surroundings, and changes in caregivers, they have continued to have each other. Their connection is part of their daily lives, and we want their next move to preserve that comfort.
They are black Labrador-type mixed-breed dogs with affectionate, sometimes wonderfully silly personalities. Their caregivers have watched them play together, lounge outside, and roll over for belly rubs in almost identical fashion. They have formed close relationships with the people caring for them, including staff who have shared their living space. At Kindness Ranch, they are known and loved.
The Home They Need
Tala and Sunbul need people who can welcome both sisters and give them time to become comfortable. Their best match will be someone who enjoys affectionate dogs, respects the time it takes to build trust, and is prepared to make their home secure.
- Secure 6-Foot Fencing: Required. Both girls have a history of escaping, and Tala can jump 5-foot fences. Careful attention to gates, doors, and outdoor supervision is vital.
- No Cats: They need a feline-free home. (They do enjoy friendships with other dogs, and we can assess a match with your current dogs).
- Vocal Needs: They can be vocal and have been reported to bark at night. Adopters should be understanding and willing to work on a thoughtful transition.
Help Them Find Their People
We would love for their next photographs to come from home. Perhaps Tala will be stretched out for a belly rub while Sunbul presses close for her share of the attention.
Great News: Their adoption fee is entirely waived for vetted adopters, and transport within a reasonable distance can be arranged for the right home.
