Program Requirements

90+ Day Commitment
Volunteers must commit to a minimum of 90 days. The well-being of our animals heavily relies on consistent care and routine.
Financial Capability
Must be financially capable of providing the majority of your own food and covering travel expenses to and from Wyoming.
32+ Hours / Week
Dedicate a minimum of 32 hours per week. The sanctuary operates year-round and requires steady hands every day.
Weather Resilience
We operate in all weather conditions including harsh Wyoming winters. Must embrace the elements ensuring animal safety.
What to Expect as a Volunteer
Your contribution as a long-term volunteer at Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary will be invaluable. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated staff, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of sanctuary operations.
All long-term volunteer positions involve working both in groups and independently, carrying out many of the same core responsibilities as regular staff positions.

Personal Pet Policy Notice
- Dogs: Currently, there are no openings for volunteers to bring their own dogs.
- Cats: Possibility for an indoor-only cat housed strictly within your private bedroom.
