If you're prepared to immerse yourself in the world of animal welfare and contribute your time and skills, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

Volunteers must be able to commit to a minimum of 90 days or longer, as the well-being of our animals heavily relies on consistent care and attention.

**Financial Responsibility:**

As a volunteer, you'll need to be financially capable of providing a majority of your own food and covering travel expenses to and from the sanctuary. Please consider this commitment before applying.

**Work Hours:**

Prepare to dedicate a minimum of 32 hours per week, as our sanctuary operates year-round, and the animals rely on consistent care and attention.

**What to Expect:**

Your contribution as a long-term volunteer at Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary will be invaluable. All of our long term volunteer positions will involve working in groups and alone with many of the same responsibilities of our regular staff positions. From assisting with administrative tasks to providing affection and care to our rescued animals, you'll play a crucial role in their rehabilitation and well-being.

**Rewards and Challenges of Communal Living:**

Kindness Ranch offers a unique living experience within a large, beautiful house that accommodates up to 7 people year-round. This communal living arrangement fosters a supportive environment where volunteers can forge lasting connections with like-minded individuals. However, it's essential to be aware of the challenges that communal living may present.

**Personal Space:**

Living with multiple individuals in a shared space requires adaptability and understanding. Respecting each other's personal space and privacy is crucial for a harmonious living environment.

**Kitchen Etiquette:**

With a single kitchen for the entire household, coordination and communication are vital to ensure everyone's needs are met. Being mindful of others' schedules and dietary preferences will promote a positive atmosphere.

**Conflict Resolution:**

In any communal setting, disagreements may arise. Open and respectful communication is key to addressing conflicts and finding amicable solutions.

**Community Bond:**

Sharing daily experiences, joys, and challenges with fellow volunteers can create strong bonds and lifelong friendships.

**Shared Passion:**

Living with like-minded individuals who share your passion for animal welfare creates a supportive and inspiring environment.

**Learning and Growth:**

Working alongside experienced staff in various sanctuary tasks offers unparalleled learning opportunities and personal growth.

**Food Stipend:**

To support our dedicated volunteers, Kindness Ranch will provide up to $600 as a basic food stipend for the entire household. This assistance aims to alleviate some financial burdens during your time with us.

This stipend is NOT a cash allowance but comes in the form of ordering produce and grains from our regular supplier and non perishable goods ordered from Amazon or other online retailers (pastas, canned goods, coffee, toiletries, etc.).

**Potential Full-Time Employment:**

Volunteer positions may lead to full-time salaried employment as opportunities become available. Your dedication and commitment could open doors to a rewarding career in animal care and welfare.
