At Kindness Ranch, we deeply value both our dedicated volunteers and the visitors who come to experience the sanctuary. However, it’s important to understand the key differences between these two groups, especially regarding our farm animal interaction and safety.

Tours are by appointment only. Tuesday thru Saturday at 1:30pm. Tours last an average of 90 minutes and do require some walking over uneven terrain.

Kindness Caretaker Annual Support
Become a Kindness Caretaker and give lasting comfort to the residents who call our sanctuary home. Your support helps us provide the daily essentials that keep our long-term animals safe, healthy, and content. Whether you choose a wise old horse, a curious goat, a gentle cow, a feisty llama, a chatty pig, or a soft-eyed sheep, you become part of their circle of care.

Pigs
Pigs are frequently used in research because their anatomy and physiology closely resemble that of humans, yet they endure confinement and procedures that leave lasting emotional and physical scars.
Beagles
Beagles are the most common dog used in research. Bred in massive warehouses and sold to research labs worldwide.
Cats
Cats in research facilities live in controlled environments where natural behaviors, like climbing, and forming social bonds, are limited by the confines of laboratory life.
Horses
PMU horses are kept in industrial settings where their urine is collected to produce hormone replacement drugs, spending months confined with limited movement or comfort.
Goats and Sheep
Before they arrive at Kindness Ranch, many of our goats and sheep have spent their early lives as “teaching animals”
Cows and Llamas in Veterinary Training
Once they reach Kindness Ranch, everything changes for the better. Here, cows and llamas are given the time, space, and care to feel safe again.

Hi, I’m Uno. I remember the first moment the world got big, the day a door opened and gentle hands said, “Let’s go, buddy.” Kindness Ranch was the place waiting for me on the other side: grass under my paws, clean water, kind voices, and time to learn that people can mean safety.
I’m just one beagle, but I stand for all the animals who are ready for their second first day. Kindness Ranch doesn’t argue; they act. They show up with calm hearts, soft beds, good food, and the patience it takes to turn fear into trust.
If my tail-wag means anything to you, please help them do it again. Your gift is the difference between “maybe someday” and “today’s the day.”

Yes, your donations and purchases to Kindness Ranch are tax-deductible.
Kindness Ranch is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. That means your contributions, whether through direct donations or purchases from our store, may be eligible for tax deduction, as allowed by law.
For your records, we recommend keeping your receipts and consulting your tax advisor for specific guidance.

We work collaboratively with research facilities to ensure a smooth, ethical transition for the animals into our rehabilitation and adoption programs.

We have beautiful guest facilities and acres and acres of beautiful land to explore and observe all of our amazing animal residents enjoying life!
Please remember that our animal residents call Kindness Ranch their home and appreciate respectful visitors. Please make certain that your own furry family members are leashed and under control at all times when outside of your yurt, tent or RV.
For off leash time for your dogs you can utilize our Canine Corral to burn off any extra energy they may have.
