Tala and Sunbul

Tala and Sunbul

Kindness Ranch’s primary mission and focus is on former laboratory animals, but when they are called upon to help, the answer is a resounding “yes." In February of 2024, John, with open arms, took in 12 of 40 dogs rescued from the conflict zone that is the West Bank.

Most of the dogs were adopted, but two, Tala and Sunbul, still remain in Dog Yurt 2 almost two years later. They are big, black beautiful dogs who are best friends, and can’t be separated, which makes their adoption even more challenging. So I want to call attention to them and please, share the information widely.

This is Tala and Sunbul, and to be honest, from their photos, I’m not sure which is which, but they are the sweetest, most lovable dogs who really need their own forevermore family. They spend their days lounging outside in the yard, and when approached, will melt from your touch. Just as with the beagles, these dogs maintain a remarkable, unearned trust in people.

They are well-behaved, potty trained and quiet. Their story - one of resiliency - is complex, and that they have been together through it all is a testament to the bonds that can be formed between animals. I’d be happy to take them home. I’d be happy to take them all home.
