Attention all yoga and pets fans!

You have a unique opportunity to combine both: to practice yoga and to help animals.

Kindness Ranch Yoga Retreat 2012I’m Elena. Animals have been members of my family for many years and we love volunteering for animal shelters to help them find new homes for their residents. I am also a yoga instructor. I have learn from my own experience the benefits of yoga for body and mind. Yoga can help you at any age, shape and health condition. It teaches you to be mindful about your body and about the impact you have to the world around you. This is why I’ve decided to organize the Kindness Ranch Yoga Retreat.  I believe that by helping animals we can enrich human society.

Mahatma Gandhi is believed to have said: “The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”. Kindness Ranch is a place where you can make a difference in the lives of the animals as well as help to bring our nation a step closer to the greatness.

During the weekend we will have TEN hours of activities with top-quality yoga instructors, ranch tours, and plenty of time to hang out with the Kindness Ranch animals and to visit Guernsey State Park for swimming or hiking.

Stephanie Uvalle

yoga instructor at Kindness RanchSteph began practicing Ashtanga yoga in 1999, after she moved to Boulder and began training for ultra marathons. She realized she wanted to help others realize their own potential and inner strength (without having to run 100 miles)!
Steph began teaching vinyasa yoga in 2006 and has evolved her teaching to include her current and lifelong passion of Bhakti Yoga – the yoga of love and devotion. Steph also loves to teach Doga, with her dog Boogie Woogie. Dogs are ever-present reminders of what it’s like to live in each moment, and to also live in the embodiment of the heart – unconditional love. Partnering up with your best furry friend for a session of meditation, pranayama, and yoga asana is incredbily therapeutic and creates a deeper energetic bond.
