Daisy and Donald

Daisy and Donald

Daisy and Donald, two beagle basset mixes, are the newest Kindness Ranch residents.  They arrived a few days ago from Michigan.  Just two years old, Daisy and Donald were owner surrendered to an animal shelter in Michigan that releases to a notorious Class B dealer.  The Class B dealer sells dogs and cats to research facilities. Their time was nearly up when we asked local wonderful rescue workers to pull them from the shelter.

It is often the case that bringing animals to a new life involves many caring people.  This is especially true in the story of Donald and Daisy.   A shelter employee and a network of volunteers associated with a local rescue group all helped to bring the dogs to  Kindness Ranch.

While Daisy and Donald have been here only a short time, they have charmed visitors and employees alike.  They are very affectionate, playful, and gentle.  They love to play tug-of-war with handmade ropes given to us by Marguerite Jandreau, a lovely volunteer from Maine.   Ball is also another favorite activity. Cuddles are always appreciated and sought after.

The dogs appear to be housebroken and they are very gentle.  They would be good with children over the age of 6.  Do you have room in your heart and home for a precious new family member?  If so, give us a call!
