Corey

Born in August 2010, Corey is a neutered male, white with few dark patches (head, tail). He is very friendlyto people, is a lovebug and likes to cuddle. Corey loves to play and gets along well with other cats though he does enjoy being on his own. He doesn't seem bothered by or show much interest in the dogs that visit.  The research on Corey involved potential exposure to Bartonella, the organism responsible for cat scratch disease. The lab he came from reported that he has with no known clinical disease as a result. It seems that he may carry the herpes virus (not contagious to humans) though he has no symptoms and is otherwise healthy.

Born in August 2010, she is very friendly to people, enjoys playing in water and likes to "help" do the dishes. If you are using a cat brush to clean hair off the cat bed, she will insist that you brush her instead. Nessa Rose gets along with the other cats and especially likes Sybil and Rainbow. She doesn't seem bothered by or show much interest in the dogs that visit. Kramer

Leppy’s name out of the lab was Branson...but he just seems like a Leppy! Born in June 2011, he is a neutered male, black mackerel tabby with a white bib. This big boy is very friendly. He likes to hang out on the porch inside cat run. Leppy will wait to greet the staff on arrival and will come out to greet visitors as well. He will seek you out for attention and enjoys a good playful belly rub. Leppy likes to hug and will put his "arms" around you, just be ready for his "love-bites" when he gets excited. Visits from the dogs don't seem to faze him. Leppy's research involved anaplasma and/or ehrlichia (tick-born diseases) and is now a healthy kitty.

Baretta

Baretta was a pet food research cat. Upon arrival at the ranch, she was very shy. Today, she has gained greatly in confidence and enjoys a gentle touch. She has some neurological and tendon problems that prevent her from straightening out one of her paws so her gait is a little unusual. But that doesn’t prevent Baretta from playing with the laser light --- a beloved game for her! She will enjoy a loving home to call her own.
