Jewels’s Story

Jewels is a beautiful black and white cat. She will come and sit by your side on the couch, enjoys high perches and window sills, and snuggling on soft pillows. She was born in 2001 and has spent her life in a research facility. She was used in many vaccine studies. Jewels is now looking for her permanent loving family.

Sabrina’s Story

Sabrina is a beautiful black cat with a playful disposition. Just like her sister Midnight, if you are bending down she might affectionately jump on your back, giving you a good surprise. She was born in 2003 and used in many vaccine studies. She enjoys people and other cats very much. She looks very much like Midnight, except she is just a bit smaller.

Patches’s Story

Patches is a playful cat that loves toys and a loving hand. She was born in 2003 and used in many vaccine studies. She is a healthy cat that enjoys the company of people and other cats.

Snuggles’s Story

Snuggles was dropped off with Maximus. He is the smaller of twin orange kittens,has big green eyes, shy with new people, and hides beneath covers. He loves to play with the laser light.

Maximus’s Story

Maximus came to the ranch as a surprise. He was dumped at the ranch on opening day with two other cats. He was just a baby. He was not in laboratory research, but how could we turn him away? He is a sweet energetic cat that loves to play with his brother. He will sit for hours in the outdoor play area hoping a bird will fly his way. He is an engaging, friendly, and playful cat in good health.

Chevy’s Story

From the moment this beautiful fellow walked in the door, he knew this place was his home. His golden eyes and hair make him look like a tiny version of a lion. He struts around like he is “The King of The Jungle”. Making a bed, or anything else for that matter, is extremely difficult with Chevy around. If you are not paying attention to him, he is very, very unhappy and doesn’t think twice about telling you so. However, when you pick him up into your arms and cuddle him, he melts like butter. The purring begins and don’t stop too soon, because Chevy will let you know when he wants you to quit. What a kind nature he has, to give so much love to humans after spending time in a laboratory!

Delta’s Story

Delta is the movie queen in the bunch. She loves to pose. Most times you will find her perched on the cat tree or up on the catwalk looking down at everyone, in her most beautiful stance. She will cock her head to the side and just look at you with the most beautiful, deep green eyes. She is always perfectly groomed, never a hair out of place and I wouldn’t be surprised if she has the other cats acting as her servants when we are not around. She will be more than happy to put her paw print on your heart! She has adjusted quickly to home life after her time in a laboratory.

Sassy’s Story

Sassy takes full advantage of the beds in the cat yurt and the outdoor play area, but, really, she’d rather have her own home and caretaker. She is affectionate, healthy, and enjoys other cats. When she first arrived, she was quite shy. New visitors wouldn’t see her on their first trip to the yurt. Today, she is ready to check out the new comer and enjoys a gentle touch.

Y2K’s Story

Y2K came from a pet food research company. He was born in 2000, and is fully of personality. He loves attention and is not shy. He will come right up to see you, and isn’t afraid to let the other cats know to make room for him.

Baretta’s Story

At just 3, Baretta is a young retired pet food research cat. Upon arrival at the ranch, she was very shy. Today, she has gained greatly in confidence and enjoys a gentle touch. She has some neurological and tendon problems that prevent her from straightening out one of her paws so her gait is a little unusual. But that doesn’t prevent Baretta from playing with the laser light --- it is a beloved game for her! She will enjoy a loving home to call her own.

Stormy’s Story

If you have a cushy pillow by a window, you have a very special place for Stormy. Stormy is nine years old. She is a quiet cat that has taken to the creature comforts of home. She has been in pet food research, and greatly appreciates a friendly touch and a warm place to sun herself.

Cali’s Story

Cali is an extremely cute and affectionate cat that spent much of her life in pet food research. She loves attention and is very engaging. She had all of her back teeth removed, and now feels much better. At 11, she will make a wonderful addition to a family.

Chelsea’s Story

What a character! Chelsea is a sweet cat that loves it when you say, "Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea!" It makes her ears slide back and she comes forward to rub your nose. She loves a comfy pillow and special attention. She gets along well with other cats. Chelsea is nine years old and has spent much of her life in a laboratory for pet food research. She thinks a home environment and loving caretakers are just too much fun. She would love to spend the rest of her life with a special family.

Brie’s Story

Treats anyone? Brie is a highly relational special cat. Her loving qualities will go to your heart. She enjoys coming to greet you when you come home. She likes treats and cuddles. Brie gets along with other cats. She is diabetic and needs shots twice daily. The cost is relatively low. At seven, Brie has spent much of her life in a pet food laboratory. From beds to cat toys, Brie thinks home life is fabulous. She would love to be welcomed into your home.
