Elwyn is a shy little girl who likes other dogs but is still getting used to being around people. She can take some time to warm up to new people, especially, but she is starting to learn to trust. She is walking on the leash, and is a curious girl who likes to explore around the back yard and new places. This seven-year-old girl is food motivated, which helps with training and teaching her that people = good things! We haven’t heard her make a lot of noise yet, but that doesn’t mean she won’t find her voice soon – she is a beagle after all! Shy dogs like Elwyn often do better when there is another confident, friendly dog in the home. She probably would not be comfortable around small children or in a busy house with lots of commotion, as she can be skittish with loud noises and fast movements. She will need a very special, calm, and patient home to help her work through her fears, but we’re pretty sure she’d make it worth it!
