Buddy Gets a Home

Buddy Gets a Home

Buddy came to the Kindness Ranch on 7-16-11 after a long flight from Florida to Denver. Buddy and his traveling partner Copper were united with the rest of the sanctuary dog pack after their month-long stay in quarantine.

Buddy had his ups and downs with the new boundaries but he’s a very fast and willing learner. Buddy is a fun and loving beagle that just wanted a family to love him.

Buddy’s dream came true on Sept 26, 2011. We received a call from a couple that morning and said they had seen our web page and wanted to arrange a meeting to come and meet Buddy and Copper.

The Buckleys of Lingle, WY arrived that afternoon and told their story of losing a female beagle to cancer and still having another female beagle at home that was very lonely and in need of a new friend. The Buckleys met Buddy and it was friendship at first sight. Mr. Buckley and Buddy bonded very quickly and that was the final decisionmaker. He now has a new home with Marvin and Linda Buckley and is very happy there.

From the Buckleys:
We liked Buddy from the start. Our beagle Lucy got along with him right away and has blended into the family nicely. He was nervous with the new surroundings the first week but with some coaxing got used to the dog doors and goes outside on his own now.

Lucy and Buddy play numerous times a day and they share toys, chew bones and beds. We walk them in the morning and play ball or tug toys in the afternoons. We believe he is feeling like this is home and has settled down a lot. Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to give Buddy a loving forever home.

Marv, Linda and Lucy
