Pitties Seeking Cuddle Parter and Their Happily Ever After

Anyone who has followed Kindness Ranch for any amount of time knows that we love our Beagles and hounds here! Their fun-loving personalities can put a smile on anyone’s face and make all of our days brighter. But we love all dogs equally here at the ranch, which is why we have been so happy also to be home to a breed that is often overlooked and misunderstood – the pit bull!

As most people know, the only true “pit bull” is the American Pit Bull Terrier. However, many people and shelters use it as a catch-all term to describe any number of dogs with certain physical characteristics typical of the “bully breeds.” The wide variety of dogs that could be called pit bull mixes represents our very own residents here at the ranch – Lucy, Freida, Red, BJ, and Harley. Although each of these dogs look very different from each other, there is one thing they have in common – their love of people!

Because all of these dogs came from veterinary programs where students and faculty regularly handled them, they have come to learn just how fun people can be! They love their caretakers here at the ranch, and they also love when people come to visit – and now we just need some of those visitors to take them home!Click Here to View All of Our Dogs

After our family made a trip to Kindness Ranch, she came to our home in March 2012. Iberia has blossomed in the past year and is really a great family member! She is still fairly cautious but is becoming more and more outgoing!

Thanks for all the work you do to rescue these great animals!

Meet Former Research Cows Muffin, Autumn and Valentine

cows 1 Three dairy cows that were formally used in research recently joined Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary. The three girls are 3.5 years old and were a part of a reproduction study. They are now roaming free and grazing on our 1000 acre sanctuary. They are often seen hanging out alongside our 14 horses. The three girls are very bonded and are usually not to far apart.

They were excited to arrive romping around the corrals and greeting horses and people alike.
